I cannot understand the reason for not including ganguly. He had played considerably "better" than other "heros" in the last test against Pak.

Also it is too early to give a test cap for Sreesanth.

@tp - Its is not only abt Ganguly. Why VRV, who was hammered 63 runs in 9 overs today infatc 8 overs as he a maiden over? Why Piyush Chawla ? Just because he tooks some wicket in Under -19 he is elegible for a call ? Why not Munaf in that case ? And for gods sake was this BP XI match against England, just a practice match. Wasn't it clear that - come what may in that match they are gonna select 'their' people.

PS : Jaffer is out at 48 and Gambhir is still batting. I wish Gambhir make a century tom.

True.

Why the hell they selected Kaif who is running in such a poor form!!!

I agree, and why Raina ? Just because he got 35 runs in the one innigs he played. I think Kaifi was more selected on the basis of a backup for the elegant indian middle order. Or probably Kiran More might have thought , Kaif, Raina and Yuvi will save more runs on the field that what Ganguly make with the bat. Hats off to them - they are jokers

not sure about your comments. i think they are overboard.
Obviously the tour match was not a platform to catch the selectory eye for the I test.
When Yuvi comes back would u have dropped Saurav again after picking him for this test?
Im not anti - saurav but i think at this point its the right decision.
